JML Software Solutions Ltd (JML) is committed to protecting personal data. This privacy statement describes why and how we collect and use personal data and provides information about individuals’ rights. It applies to personal data provided to us, both by individuals themselves or by others. This policy does not apply to the services provided by JML’s partners who may provide their own privacy policies.

We may use personal data provided to us for any of the purposes described in this privacy statement or as otherwise stated at the point of collection.

This statement relates to personal data processed in respect of JML Customers, Suppliers and Business Contacts.

Product Download

Downloading a product will often require provision of personal information. This information will be used by JML to contact the customer about JML products and services, including product updates and associated promotional material.

We hold and process personal data about you in order to satisfy our contractual obligations in the following ways:

Product and services provision

Customer information is collected in order to provide our clients with services or products.

Communications from JML

JML may send notices to customers about products that are due to expire, notifications about new products being available that may be of interest to our clients or information about company events such as exhibitions or webinars.

Customer feedback

JML may contact customers to request feedback as part of its customer service process in order to ensure adequate quality standards and continuous improvement. We also use your information to help understand our customer needs. This information is only used in the services we use to help us manage customer feedback.

Data Sharing and Retention

We usually keep this information for the period of the contract plus any subsequent period during which a claim can be brought under the contract terms or relevant legislation. 

The information collected by JML, whether public or private, will never be sold, exchanged or transferred outside JML or it’s Partners for any reason without your consent, unless legally obligated to do so.  In circumstances where customer data is being shared with it’s partners, the partners agree to JML’s confidentiality terms and conditions. Under the terms, the partners are prohibited from selling, using, marketing or trading data transferred by JML for the sole purpose of product or service provision. Any data processors acting on behalf of JML carry out data processing activities in accordance with our instructions and the terms of Service Provision Agreement.

Your Rights and Obligations

Should there be any change to your personal details in the future, you are asked to notify us promptly. This will ensure we maintain accurate personal details and that we are able to contact you or another designated person if required to satisfy our contractual obligations. If it becomes our intention to use your information for any other reason, we shall advise you of those intentions prior to using the information for the additional purpose(s) as well as advising you of any other details within this statement which may be affected.

You have a number of rights with regards to how your data is protected. By providing us with your information you will have the right to access and rectify your personal details. If you did wish to access your data, you shall have the right to view or receive a copy of the information in a commonly used format such as a pdf document or an e-mail. You may also have the right to ask for the processing of your personal data to be restricted or even erased. Whether or not you exercise the right to erasure, the Company will erase your personal data in certain situations and particularly when the data is no longer required.
